We have a new request from Christian Services to help a
single mother from the Sparrow’s Nest program. Jamie currently has a car
which, as is often the case, has frequent issues and will not last much
longer. Jamie has her own cleaning business, so a car is essential to
maintain her income, but she has not built up enough savings yet to afford to
purchase one. She has two children ages 9 and 4.
As some of you may know, the Sparrow’s Nest program was
started by MaryAnn Harkema, the founder
and retired director of Christian Services, to enable single mothers to afford
a mobile home. They pay a modest rent for 2 years and are required to take
classes to manage money, and upon successfully completing the program, they are
deeded the title to their mobile home.
This vetting enables us to be certain the car is being
used as intended and to extend the assistance generated by others to get this
single mother to be totally self-sufficient.
I hope you can support this very worth-while person, and
remember, CarsINC (cars in the name of Christ) is a 501 (c)(3) organization, so
any contribution to us is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution on your
income tax return.
Please send contributions to:

Thanks to your Thanksgiving support, we were able to give "the gift of a lift" to Malinda. Here she is with her new-to-her Chevy Cobalt.
